Conference Themes & Call for PapersThe conference is an opportunity to participate in a forum for the critical examination and analysis of research in networked learning ie learning and teaching carried out largely via the Internet/Web which emphasises dialogical learning, collaborative and cooperative learning, group work, interaction with on-line materials, knowledge production and design for learning. The focus of the conference is network learning in formal or informal settings in higher education and lifelong learning. Papers critically reporting on the results of research and evaluation in Networked Learning are invited on the main themes of:
Conference papers are peer reviewed by international researchers, and published in electronic proceedings and online. Authors of selected papers will be invited to contribute to the edited book series on networked learning published by Springer, New York. We invite proposals of the following kind addressing conference themes:
Each individual paper proposal should take the form of a Full Paper of up to 8 pages maximum (including references). The Symposium Organiser collects all papers from the authors, and precedes them with an outline of the symposium, stating title/theme and providing a rational for the symposium. Symposia organisers are free to decide on how their Symposium is run eg as an interactive panel-participants discussion; ‘traditional’ presentation of papers with short questions and answers; some other method.
Each individual paper proposal should take the form of a Full Paper of up to 8 pages maximum (including references).
The aim of a poster is to introduce and promote a new piece of research through textual and graphic elements, a time and space will be provided at the conference for this to be displayed and discussed. An abstract for your poster presentation will be published in the conference handbook (maximum 250 words) and an introduction to your work published with the conference proceedings, (maximum 500 words) this should provide clear aims and objectives of the study, research context, design and preliminary findings. Further information on background theory, conceptual framework and methodological approaches could be included. Full details on submission & templates. |
