Facilitating Online learning Conversations
Description:
Maybe we could tackle some of the more didactical questions like: What is a good learning conversation? What does it distinguish from a normal 'everyday' conversation? How can we facilitate students' online learning conversations? How can we analyse the quality of online learning conversations? ....? Exchanging some relevant publications might be a good start :-)

Ok, as you all seem interested in the didactics of creating succesful online learning conversations, here is a little article I just wrote based on my experiences as a teacher. This is quite a fast first draft but sums up my personal vision on how to make it work.. Please let me know your comments :-) http://annotate.atspace.org/DidacticsJakko.pdf

Btw, I borrowed the notion of 'online learning conversations from Bellamy, 1997), as being: "Conversations that lead to learning because they allow participants to make connections between previously unrelated ideas, see old ideas in a new way, and lead to conceptual changeā€
